Should I be embarrassed going to a priest for help on where to start?

I have been going to a church I like for about 3 months or so. I just started learning small amounts about God within the past year or so. I don’t come from a religious background. But I reached out and want to understand the Bible more and to understand things about god. So the pastor wants to set up a time to talk, should I be scared or worried? I don’t want to look stupid for asking for help when I could just read the Bible but it’s hard to understand.
