Do Methodists tend to be somewhat liberal?

I haven’t gone to church since 2020, but I would really like to get involved with a church more. However, I’m in a pretty Red state, and I really want to avoid the more toxic, Christian Nationalist, misogynistic, and otherwise prejudiced spaces. I grew up Baptist, but I’m done with that. I’ve seen some stuff about Methodists recently that makes me wonder if they are more liberal-minded? I don’t completely agree with all of their theology, but what’s most important to me right now is being able to find somewhere non-toxic to worship.
