Confused

I don’t know where else to post this so I’m sorry if this isn’t allowed. Me and my ex of almost 2 years broke up a few weeks ago. I broke up with him. It was a mistake, I let my anger win and I have regretted it ever since. I have been praying that God will bring him back. Today my ex told me he has also been praying about it and said God told him he has a plan and is waiting for the sign from God to get back together. He keeps telling me to have faith and that he believes it’ll all work out but it’s hard and I’m scared because I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I’ve tried asking for signs from God but I’m new to this and haven’t quite figured out how to tell when he’s talking to me. These have been the worst few weeks of my life and I’m absolutely heart broken. Any advice would be appreciated.
