About a month ago I thought God was speaking to me now I’m not so sure?

I thought I had a word from God about a month ago, seem like a potential opportunity. I really don’t want to go into any detail about it because certain things should be kept private. Please pray that I would have discernment on this. Pray that any misunderstandings would be cleared up. I’m sure others have had experiences like this where it’s like you have a clear message one day and then Weeks later it’s like hey God where did you go LOL?
