Am I lying?

Good evening all!

I had a question in regards to a conversation I was having with one of my roommates about how I’m quitting weed and why.

When I was talking to her about it, I mentioned that it’s because I’ve seen the writing on the wall with my job and it’s time to find a new one. It would make things extremely helpful in that department if I can pass a drug test. I live in Idaho, so it’s almost a guarantee I’ll get tested if it’s not fast food.

What I didn’t talk about is why I’m posting with that headline. I’ve considered myself a lukewarm Christian, as I’ve only just started my journey to Jesus and haven’t spoken the words out loud, but I feel more inclined to believe each and every day. I’m not sure if my roommates believe in Jesus or what their opinions are though because we don’t talk about it and definitely don’t live out the Gospel. I didn’t mention in our conversation that I’m quitting smoking for him. They didn’t specifically ask if I’m quitting because of my faith, but I didn’t tell them that’s my main reason for quitting either.

Am I lying or just leaving out details? Am I even lukewarm anymore? I don’t want to lie to God or anyone for that matter, and I don’t want to do anything wrong or for the wrong reasons.
