Act of kindness made me cry

So to preface this, I know some people will say this doesn’t belong here, but my first thought was how I’m so blessed with God’s grace when this happened. Quick back story. I have this neighbor across the street. He’s a Hispanic man in a predominantly white neighborhood. We have lived as neighbors for years now. My parents who have lived here their whole lives have been judgmental because he fixes cars in his yard, doesn’t do the best yard upkeep, has chickens, guinea fowl, a goat and two dogs that run loose. I think you may see what I’m getting at. I told my mom, I don’t think he’s a bad guy, he’s just a bit of a hillbilly lol every time I leave for work and see him outside, he smiles and waves. Fast forward to a few weeks back. I was getting out of my car when he approached me in my driveway with a bucket of eggs from his chickens and introduced himself, a very kind gesture. So last week I got him a small bag of dog treats and left it with a note on his doorstep thanking him for his kindness. I signed it with mine and my sons (2.5 year old twins) names. That’s that right? Well tonight I went to go put my trash out and there was a bag of presents on my doorstep. I cried a little when I brought them in and opened them. I have been a single mom for 2 years with no contact with their father or financial help. I struggle to provide for my family but God willing, I keep pushing forward. He gave both my sons toys with their names on them and a huge fluffy blanket for me. I just feel Gods hand has guided me to be kind, non judgmental, and generous with the little I can. And that Gods grace is around us all the time. I am so thankful and blessed. Merry Christmas everyone ❤️ I hope yours is just as special.
