Today is the first day of the traditional embrace of “The O Antiphons.” Each day, for one week, we will share one of the antiphons, along with scripture and a video related to the term. Do you sing the O Antiphons in your tradition?

O Sapientia (meaning ‘O Wisdom’)

Isaiah 11:2-3a

“The spirit of the Lord shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. His delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.”

Isaiah 28:29

“This also comes from the Lord of hosts; he is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom.”
