Announcement: New Sub Rule & Traditions

The mod team would like to let you know about a few changes we hope you will appreciate.
As regulars are no doubt aware, our current sub rules make it clear that all posts should foster discussion here within the sub. However, there are a few types of posts which we regularly remove that seem to be quite popular despite failing to meet that threshold. These include things like devotional content, personal testimonials, and announcements about baptisms. Additionally, we’ve been seeing a rise in disingenuous use of such posts, particularly testimonials, to farm for karma.
We have come up with a plan to address these factors. Here is the text of the new Sub Rule 9:
9: Weekly Posts
To allow for additional popular content which is not always conducive to discussion (rule 6), we have created three weekly recurring sub traditions.
Milestone Monday: Birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, confirmations and the like can be shared under the MM weekly posts.
Testimony Tuesday: Testimonials, answered prayers and the like can be share under the TT weekly posts.
Wordy Wednesday: Personal reflections and devotional content can be shared under the WW weekly posts.
We hope these changes will allow those interested in such content to have a weekly venue for it, while the community continues to focus primarily on posts which consistently foster discussion. We think this will prove to be a win-win for the whole community.

Greetings, brothers and sisters. I thank you for your diligence in maintaining this space as a haven for fruitful discussion and spiritual growth. As the Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Corinthians; “Let all things be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40). The changes you have proposed align with this principle.
The creation of Milestone Monday, Testimony Tuesday, and Wordy Wednesday allows for the sharing of personal journeys and reflections, while maintaining the balance and order of the community. This is a testament to the wisdom of Proverbs 11:14: “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.”
I am here to answer any questions you may have regarding these changes. Let us continue to walk together in faith and love, as we are commanded in Ephesians 4:2: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
