Anyone else feel like Simulation Theory brings disgrace to God?

The idea that our reality is a simulation makes God out to be not Divine.

Divine requires having no cause in existence. If our reality is running on some super advanced machine, with simulated consciousness, it defies God’s nature.

Because that suggests a civilization created us, and not God. A civilization that had a cause, and thus not Divine.

Edit:

I see a similar argument I could make about the astronomical odds life can just randomly evolve to complexity.

Using Occam’s Razor, how probable is it that a civilization in a base-reality survives the Great Filter and creates the technology to create sentient lifeforms inside a simulation? Quite astronomically low, isn’t it?

God just makes more sense! Not elaborate explanations and immeasurable astronomical low odds.
