Do we have free will or does God decide what we will do?

I have recently read Genesis through Judges and this question keeps popping into my head. Does God harden people’s hearts like he hardened Pharaoh’s heart? Does He choose who will be saved or do we freely choose to follow Jesus or not? Does He even decide little things like what I will say/think or do I freely decide that myself? I am probably just thinking too far into this but any explanation you have I will appreciate!
