Does God provide my SSI money or is it just the State?

My brother and I made a bet. We bet that I would give him $20 if he won. And at first I said I didn’t want to bet that because I don’t have a lot of money, but then I said “But you know what? I have a good provider, so ok” and I shook his hand. I meant God. And my brother then said God’s not my provider for my SSI. It’s just the State that provides it. Is that true? I’ve been thanking Jesus for my SSI because I’m truly thankful for it. It really helps me
