I know it’s not always easy to be a Christian, taking up the cross is a great weight to bear, but I like living as Christ demands.

I’ve often seen comments about how living a sin free life, well trying too at least, is some great negative. I guess to some extent I understand, but I like trying to eliminate sinful acts from my life and embracing Jesus’s message.

Being a Christian is hard for sure. There are those who are difficult to forgive, there are indulgences that are enjoyable, and there are judgements levied against us regardless of our denomination. I often have to preface myself when I tell others I’m a man of deep faith because it’s often taken as if that means I’m a Christian nationalist or some other extreme. Some Christians really do give us all a bad name.

With that said, I like bettering myself and the world around me. It feels really wonderful to treat others as I would wish to be treated. I like reading Scripture. It’s fun learning about our faith from other sources like books, videos, and talking to others. I truly love talking to God. Through all the decades of my life, he’s been my one constant and what a beautiful steadiness that provides! It brings me such peace knowing there’s more to life.

Though it’s true that the path we have all taken is not an easy one, could you imagine not being on it?
