If I’m not ready to marry someone within a year, would it be unwise to date someone right now as a Christian?

31m here and somewhat new to faith. I’m saving myself for marriage and I don’t want to risk anything if I’m not ready for marriage yet. Should I just wait until I’m ready to marry before dating, or should I just start dating now and hopefully find someone in the meantime?
