If there is a Greatest Commandment, there must be a Greatest Sin
Hello r/Christianity!
My question is simple. Does the existence of a greatest commandment imply the existence of a greatest sin?
The greatest commandment implies a hierarchy in the importance of following certain commandments. By this logic, there must also be a hierarchy in terms of sin.
I am aware of the unforgivable blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and the Catholic concept of mortal sin. I am also aware of the fact that all sins make us humans unworthy of Heaven. Sin is defined in 1 John 3:4 as the transgression of the law. But still, is the transgression of the greatest commandment also the greatest sin?
I appreciate your responses!
