Is my husband going too far?

Using a Throwaway account as my husband knows my real one

I (29f) have been happily married to my (33m) husband for 8 years now and have a lovely 7 years old daughter. We both come from a religious household but were not actively religious from the start. But for the past 14 months, we’ve been trying to come closer to god and follow his teachings.

I have trying to be as Submissive as possible to my husband in any way possible and he respects my descision because we both know that’s the best choice if we wanna get closer to god. I always submit to him and god as he submit to god.

But things started to change when we started to apply it in our lives. We used to ate dinner at the table, but now, he’s told me from now on I should eat food at his feet while he eat at the table to show if I really wanna submit to him and god as husband is the head of the family.

I’m a housewife and he’s a working husband. When he comes home at night, I daily rubs his feet to show my respect and submission to him. But for the past few months, whenever we go to bed, he tells me worship his feet. He tells me to clean his feet and then lick to soles to show that he’s the head of the family and I’m lower than him.

I have no problem with other things like cleaning his feet and Jesus also cleaned the feet of his Disciples. But I felt like Licking the soles was way too much. Last night when I was worshipping his feet, our daughter caught us and saw me worshipping his soles. I got up to clear any misunderstanding in her head but then my husband stopped me and told me its fine and one day she’s also have to do the same.

I don’t know why but I felt uncomfortable to even imagine my daughter doing this. I asked some of my super christian friends and they said that it’s our job to submit to our husbands and obey their command and I can’t say no to him.

Is this kind of submission normal or I would be commiting a sin if I disobeyed my husband’s command. Please help me. I want God to open his heaven’s gates for me.
