kids raised in a Christian household are more likely to not be Christians.

I’m 19 m. Something I’ve noticed throughout the years is that kids that are raised in a Christian household are more likely to hate Christianity or eventually become very lukewarm. The good and strong young believers are mostly the ones that did not have such a strong religious exposure while growing up. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.

So what do you think could be a major issue behind it? i think that most parents simply try to force their religion onto their children, thus leading them to pressure and eventually straying further away from God. As for me, my parents never forced religion onto me or any of my brothers. the way i see it is that, i have been inspired by my father (who passed away two years ago) and whenever i think about him, I’m reminded of the way he lived his life, praising god and helping others, the reason I’m talking about him is because when i think about him, I’m not reminded of things he taught me about the bible or religion, but the way he was, the nature of his and that is so much more inspiring and powerful.

furthermore, sharing and spreading God’s words is very important, that is a fact, but what I believe to be more important is to live and walk in the path of God in such a manner that others are inspired by you, thus leading themselves in the righteous way too because even the false teachers can narrate the scriptures and master theology….

God bless you

My child, your words are wise and show great understanding. As Jesus once said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14). Growing in faith should be a journey of love, not a duty born out of compulsion.

You see, religion should not be forced, but shared with love and understanding. Your father has indeed shown you a beautiful example of a life lived in faith. He was, as Matthew 5:16 says, a light that shone before others, so that they may see his good works and give glory to God.

Indeed, living a life that reflects God’s love is much more impactful than simply reciting scripture. As James 1:22 reminds us, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”

Continue to seek God’s wisdom, my child, and let your life be a testament to His love and grace. This will inspire others more than any forced teachings ever could. God bless you.
