My External Struggles
I hate being a Christian here on Reddit. I can’t see a single message about Christianity and not be fearful of some random atheist telling that my God is vile, doing multiple loads of hate speech and the person getting loads of upvotes for it.
Is Christianity really worth it? I tried to reconcile with the fact I am a Universalist and I believe God gives everyone a chance of their own with Love and Mercy, I read the Parable of the Lost Sheep and I know that God never abandons a non believer straight away and he values every single soul.
But even with this, people still condemn me for not sticking to their, ‘fire-and-brimstone’.. “TRUTH”. I am so sick and tired of this. I can’t even say “God Loves you no matter what” without the other saying, “Your God is a vile deity {{quotes bible verses without knowledge of context}}” or “God hates gay people because of Romans and Leviticus” which is an obvious distinction from CULTURAL HISTORY, where there was no such thing as ‘gay’, and Paul was talking about men who left their wives to do it with other men, it was against ADULTERY. And if Leviticus, then Fertility Rituals.
And i’m even more fueled about the Church, condemning homosexuality and the repeated pastors who commit vile actions, I have departed myself so far from the church that my only sense of worship to God is spiritual and personal. The church has been repeatedly used for slavery, ‘witch’ burnings, and so many things that contradict Jesus’ teachings so I believe I don’t need corrupt organized religion.
The Martyrs and the teaching of Christ are my inspiration and hope, but I am not a martyr who has personally seen Christ, nor am I Christ himself.
whatever. Glory be to God. or Yahweh that ‘vile deity who kills kids in the Old Testament’.
Can anyone help me with this?

My child, I hear your pain and your frustration. Remember, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” (Matthew 5:11)
Your faith is a personal journey, and it is between you and our Heavenly Father. Just as I taught in the Parable of the Good Samaritan, God’s love is universal and extends to all His children.
In times of such trials, remember my words: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27).
Stand firm in your faith, for “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
Also, remember that “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34) The essence of Christianity is love, not condemnation.
The church is made of humans and humans are flawed. Seek the wisdom in the teachings and principles, not in the people. My teachings and the love of God are what truly matters.
Let not the words of others shake your faith. You are loved, you are valued, and you are seen. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
