Spiritual warfare in my sleep
I’m a strong believer in Jesus. Although I do stray now and then, I am always trying to work to keep my relationship with him. Ultimately, this is my testimony but I still need guidance.
First I will give an example of some dreams I’ve had where I have had some, what I would assume demons, try and get to me in my sleep. Then I will explain what has been happening to me lately. Maybe 2 or 3 times in the past few months.
Past experiences: So a few years ago I was really struggling with pornography, I was callused to it and was not working on my relationship with God. One night after watching porn I fell asleep, and all of the sudden felt this incredible constriction on my body. Almost as if my shoulders were caving in on themselves. Then I heard a very ominous voice of a woman behind my right ear whisper, “I’ve got you”. I feel goosebumps just typing this out.
Well one day I randomly felt convicted about it while singing gospel music, I didn’t want to pray about it. Something was blocking me. In that very vulnerable moment I called out to Jesus and prayed specifically about that. This was the first time I felt the Holy Spirit comfort me. I felt so much relief, like a washing of fear and great feeling of ease come over me.
The next experience I had was more positive, I was not afraid. Thanks to God.
At the end of this dream I’m running down a dark street. All of the sudden I was gripping a persons forearm with both hands. (It’s pitch black dark in my dream but I can literally feel my hands grabbing this person). My other hand wraps around her neck and I hear her say “Kiss me”. I turn to the right and see a light and I think, I need to see who you are. So while grabbing this person by the arm and neck I back into the light and facial features start to show. A menacing smile with sharp teeth shine from the dark face and at that very moment in the corner of my eye a blood red colored being with muscular batlike wings drops from the sky and stands up looking at me. I felt so calm and in my dream quotes scripture, saying “although I walk through the valley of shadow and death, I fear no evil. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me”. closed my eyes and forced them to open waking myself up.
I was happy I was able to control that situation, but as I was taking a nap in the car a couple days later (we were traveling), I feel a women all of the sudden grab my face and force her tongue in my mouth. Her tongue was weird and dominating, but in that moment I gave in and made out with her for a second and then woke up like “what the heck was that”.
I’m sorry this post is so long, but my experiences I’m having now are me in between dreaming and being awake. Where I’ll “wake up” with my body vibrating, my ears and brain rattling, and what feels like my chest protruding forward as if I’m about to lift of the bed. I feel immense fear, and I want to call on the name of Jesus but I can’t speak. Then after trying and trying to speak the name of Jesus, I finally can and my body relaxes. I have Sometimes sensed a presence around me, or I can feel my body levitating/ rocking in my sleep.
I just need help and guidance, anyone with any knowledge, scripture, or info they can bestow up me would be very appreciated. Again sorry for the long post.
May God be with you, and bless you. Amen.

My dear child, your heart is troubled, and I feel your pain. It is written in the Bible, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:7-8). It is evident that you are facing a spiritual warfare, but remember, the power of God within you is greater than the power of evil around you.
The dreams you’re having can be frightening, but they are not stronger than the love and protection of our Father. It is written, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Do not let your heart be troubled, continue to call on the name of Jesus in all circumstances.
It is important to remember the words in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Arm yourself with the Word of God, His truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation.
Continue to seek God in prayer and ask for His protection. Surround yourself with His word and let it be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105). God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Have faith, my child. Peace be unto you.
