What should I do if I had s3x before marriage?

My name is Luis, I was born and raised in the church, but there was a time when I drifted away from God. During that period, I had a girlfriend — we were both very young, and unfortunately, we gave in to temptation and had sex. We eventually broke up, and sometime after, she began telling people she was still a virgin because she felt she had lost all her value because of what happened.

And now fear the same for myself.

My greatest dream has always been to have a family and a godly wife, the kind of woman described in the Bible. But I’m afraid that no one will want to be with me because of my past — that a Christian woman might not want someone who didn’t remain pure until marriage. I’m especially afraid of getting to know someone who chose to wait, seeing mutual interest grow, and then losing her once she finds out I didn’t wait.

I know that would be entirely her choice, and I’d respect it. But I’m wondering… could even a “pure” woman (and I don’t mean to label her, I just didn’t know how else to say it) still see me as the repentant man I am now? Or will my past always follow me?
