Which denomination would be best for me?

I am having trouble finding a denomination that fits my preferences and beliefs. First and foremost, I want a church that teaches straight from the Bible, nothing more and nothing less. I also would prefer a church that believes in baptism of the Holy Spirit. I also would prefer a denomination that typically has smaller churches where it’s easier to find community. I want to see people I know every week at church.

I’ve been nondenominational most of my life but I personally don’t like how it feels like a production or show. The sermons are starting to feel more like Ted talks and it’s so hard to get connected in a mega church. Even when I do meet people, I never run into them again. I also would like to hear more hymns in church. I like modern Christian music too so a mix of both would be nice.

I went to a Lutheran church for a portion of my childhood and I loved the stained glass windows and some of the traditions. However, I personally don’t agree with closed communion and requiring children to go through confirmation. I also don’t want to study anything outside of the Bible (ie catechism).

I’m not trying to debate any of my beliefs and certainly am not trying to offend anyone with my preferences. I am just feeling a little lost when it comes to church and not sure where I fit it.
