Why donβt Must believers not follow Jesus command in Matthew 25.35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me ππ
Jesus is very clear!! That on judgement day many who say lord lord will be surprised to hear Jesus say depart from me for when I was hungry you did not feed me I was sick you never took care of me I was in prison you never visited me I was naked you never clothed meβ¦
These same Believers will say Lord have we not healed the sick in your name casted out devilβs and raised the dead in your name? And thatβs when Jesus will tell them how they failed to be the Christ in the world buy showing the world The goodness and mercy of God.
Luke 6.46 5The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. 46 Why do you call Me βLord, Lord,β but not do what I say? 47I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:β¦
John 13:15-17 New International Version (NIV) I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
1 John 4:8 “Whoever does not love has not become acquainted with God, for God is love”. The verse emphasizes that love is a universal standard for believers, and that no one is exempt from the call to love. The Greek word for “love” in this verse is “agapΔ,” which refers to a selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love. The verse also says that God’s love was revealed when he sent his Son into the world to be the atoning sacrifice for sins. It concludes that because God loved us so much, we should also love one another.
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, βGo in peace; keep warm and well fed,β but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, βYou have faith; I have deeds.β
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe thatβand shudder.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, βAbraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,β[e] and he was called Godβs friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
So many if not most Christianβs that I know are self centered and believe that just going to church saves them.. Most professing Christianβs claim to love God but fail to truly have the love of Christ and this Burdens me deeply! I see people whom I personally know people who go to church every Sunday and have the appearance of strict holiness and these people are quick to even quote scripture yet their way of life is mostly about their own desires and they never truely develop a heart of compassion mercy and service towards others. They live an idle self centered life thatβs only about their desires and wants..
God is strongly putting on my heart lately to become that man that out of his Hearts desire and his faith in God same as king David when Davidβs hearts desire was in line with Gods heart towards Gods people a call to action not out of a forceful heart but as Jesus quotes a cheerful giver..a man who makes God his refuge and strength and becomes the light of Christ that the world needs a man who happily is of service to others and enjoys it because Christ enjoyed it.. Most Christianβs are too involved in their own day to day lives and never truely become the example that Christ demanded us to becomeβ¦ I am convinced that most people who go to church bible study and follow tradition also a lot of those even argue scripture online are not following Jesus because if we have a true faith in Jesus our faith will burn in our hearts and our delight and hearts desire will be to do all that Christ commanded of us !
