I have friends that are gay and I don’t know what to say when asked if the Bible says being gay is a sin.

There is so much discourse about whether or not the Bible was mistranslated and that the verses talking about homosexuality were actually talking about p3dos or whatever, or is identifying as a gender actually a sin, or is having a romantic relationship ok as long as it’s not sexual? And it’s confusing and I get confused and turned around because I don’t understand it either I don’t know how to tell them it’s so wrong because I don’t understand how it’s wrong, not fully anyway. And even if I did how do I tell them that being in love with someone is a sin and they can’t do that because the person was the same sex as them? To preface I’m speaking under the circumstance of when asked about it not just at random. In a world so full of hatred and judgement I just want them to be happy and to feel love and be loved and I don’t know how to say “your love is wrong” because I don’t understand and I wish it didn’t have to be that way..
