Prayer for friend Aaron
I humbly ask for your prayers for my friend Aaron. He is struggling with his identity and has fallen into idolatry—placing travel, pleasure, and partying above God. He even mentioned it himself “Travel defines me”. Years ago, God clearly directed his life, granting him a full scholarship to study medicine in Melbourne and closing the door to his plans to move to the UK. By God’s grace, he became a doctor. However, he has recently abandoned that path and moved to Berlin, where he is self-learning German in pursuit of traveling through Europe and pursuing sinful lifestyles. Sadly, he has also turned away from God and now has a hardened heart, despite knowing His teachings.
He is trying to learn German in Berlin without clarity on when—or if—he will reenter the medical field there. I feel like he is pursuing his own plans instead of seeking God’s will, especially the main reasons he moved to Berlin is actually to pursue sinful lifestyles.
It seems he has settled for less than God’s best. I believe God is still calling him back but is letting him go his own way for a season, perhaps until he hits rock bottom and realizes his deep need for Christ. May God humble him and soften his heart, leading him to repentance and restoration.
Please also pray for the people in Aaron’s life—his family and circle of friends—who are affirming and encouraging his sinful lifestyle. Pray that God will bring people into his life who will speak truth and love into his heart, helping him see the consequences of his choices.
Please pray that Aaron’s passion for Jesus is reignited. Pray that he turns away from the idols of travel, pleasure, and partying, and that he humbly realigns his life with God’s will. May he come to understand and embrace the great plans God has for him, allowing his life to become a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace.
Thank you for lifting Aaron up in prayer.
TLDR: Please pray for my friend Aaron, who is struggling with his identity, pursuing a sinful lifestyle, and distancing himself from God, that he would be humbled, return to Christ, and realign his life with God’s will.
