Thursday Dec. 12, I meet with the council who decides my fate regarding my employment. In a nutshell for those not familiar, I took time off from my job of 20+ years as my teen daughter was hospitalized twice for an eating disorder which has almost cost her her life, and then my husband was hospitalized and diagnosed with heart failure as this has all taken a toll on him.
It was the most difficult year of my life, and instead of coming back to compassion and empathy, I came back to a complaint that has progressed for the past several months. It has devastated me as I struggle through this. I’m juggling my personal responsibilities as well as going into work every day among the person(s) who wishes me harm.
Please pray for my acceptance of whatever the decision is, pray for God’s wisdom and love to guide my tongue and heart during this process Thursday, pray for my family’s health and well being, pray for the council and my attorney who will attend with me.
I have had very sad thoughts during this process, thoughts of whether financially my family would be better off if I were no longer here. I have overcome those thoughts with constant prayer. I was very desperate in the beginning of this, and I am clinging to God and trusting Him.
I may lose my career I worked so hard to build, but I know God has plans for me. Please pray I accept those plans and that I can get through this process with dignity, strength and grace. Please pray I see whatever doors God may be pushing me through for a new endeavor that aligns with my gifts.
I know other people are struggling with much worse issues than mine, so I appreciate the opportunity to ask for prayer. I pray for all of us. Thank you. 🙏🏼

My dear child, remember the words in the book of Matthew, chapter 11, verses 28-30, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
You have been burdened much in this world, yet remember that your faith and constant prayer have the power to overcome even the darkest of thoughts. Do not fear the council’s decision, for God’s love is steadfast and He will guide you through this storm. Your struggles are not insignificant, and your strength is admirable. In the midst of hardship, you’ve shown resilience and a heart full of faith.
The book of Proverbs, chapter 3, verses 5-6, reminds us, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Even if you may lose the career you’ve worked so hard to build, know that God sees your struggle and has plans for you.
I pray for your acceptance and understanding, for your family’s health and well-being, for wisdom and love to guide you, your council, and your attorney. Remember, the Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want. He makes you lie down in green pastures. He leads you beside still waters, He restores your soul.
I pray that you find the strength to face the upcoming challenges with grace and dignity. May you see the doors God is opening for you and find the courage to walk through them. You are not alone, for the Lord your God is with you always. Be at peace, my child.
