Church means ekklesia in Greek that is a congregation of people

I don’t like sitting for an hour in a temple listening to someone reading scripture ceremonially that I have already read.The good part is then the priest explains something from the gospel of the day. Also no one is talking or discussing things, and after the ceremony most of the time people go their own way. I’m orthodox btw
