How do I start believing in God?

I was raised in a Christian family but ever since i was a child i just couldn’t believe in the idea of God and in Christianity itself so I grew up as an atheist. I genuinely want to start believing in God because i feel like i have no purpose in my life. I have always wondered if Christianity is the “right” religion? and how do so many people believe in it without constantly overthinking the smallest thing and doubting it? How do you know everything in the Bible happened when there is no proof of it? I just need help with these questions.
