How is praying to saints NOT Idol worship?

You are praying to a human being. Why would you do that when you can just pray to God…

I know the common rebuttle is “when you pray to saints you are asking them to pray to God for you”

That just makes it seem like God is not all knowing and powerful then. So once again, why even ask the saints to pray for you when you can just pray to God…
