book reccs for christian dad
hi all! my dad (50+) is a christian man, but i’m personally non religious so i thought id reach out on here for some good reccs for christmas gift! i know of two books he’s enjoyed in the past
- the apocrypha and pseudepigrapha of the old testament by r.h. charles
- the mystical theology of the eastern church by vladimir lossky
- he also enjoys fantasy novels so if you have any niche (bc he’s read most of the popular series) recommendations in that realm you’ve enjoyed id love to hear it!
generally i think my dad falls into a more “traditional” christian viewpoint, he grew up nazarene. i know ive also heard him talking about identifying as orthodox. he’s not a huge fan of religion being based in feelings.
i’d appreciate any good reccomendations! if you have a good idea that’s not book related id be open to that as well, thank u! :p
