Can christians listen to rock?

I like anything from semi heavy metal to acid rock and stuff. I understand the people and culture behind the music but if it isn’t super explicit is it okay to jam out? I still like my country and gospel but I like SOME rock and rap too. Is this a area of liberty and conscience? I dont plan on listening to music screaming fuuuuuuuh or anything lol.
