I got verbally attacked in church

Hello guys please pray for me 🙏 I feel so ignorant about God this is my third time going to church and today i felt so overwhelmed as prayers where being done I didn’t know what to do and what to say i just mimicked what others did.

I keep talking with the priest and he is a great man and he helps me alot in few days i will start my classes with him.

Today wasn’t all great i got attacked by someone at church (i was sitting and i crossed my legs not realizing it is not allowed) then a man yelled at me saying (نزل اجرك واحترم نفسك انتا بكنيسه يا بلا احترام) Translation (move your leg you non respectful guy you are in church you are a disgrace) He kept staring in an evil way then he went to the priest after prayers are done and was like talking about me and i was shocked. Then the priest talked to me in private to ignore the man and that he is just strict and feels like new comers bring disgrace by their ignorance and to just ignore him. I told him at least the man can be polite because he represents the church to people like me who are new. The priest was really nice and he calmed me down.
