Remember the Loaves

When you feel stuck and unsure of which way to go, take a moment to pause and reflect on where FATHER GOD has brought you from. Remember the times HE made a way when there seemed to be no way. Recall the moments when you were emotionally overwhelmed, teetering on the edge of despair, yet HE faithfully carried you through that season.

The disciples of THE LORD JESUS witnessed the miraculous feeding of the 5,000, but shortly afterward, they found themselves in a boat, already forgetting the magnitude of what they had seen. THE LORD JESUS reminded them, saying, “Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?”

You see, while it’s important to keep our eyes on what lies ahead, let us also take time to look back and remember the “loaves”—those undeniable moments of FATHER GOD’s provision and grace in our lives.

Let us be intentional about remembering HIS faithfulness in the past, for it strengthens our faith as we walk into the future.

Psalm 77:11–12 – “I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember YOUR wonders of old. I will also meditate on all YOUR work, and talk of YOUR deeds.”

Matthew 16:9–10 – “Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?”
