Forever Grateful for my Faith in times like these
I swear we’re living in backwards times and I thank God every day for showing me the light and for granting me the power of discernment. We’re living in a time where people are praising a murderer simply because of WHO they murdered. It’s honestly mind blowing. I don’t care what his job was or how “bad” a person is. I use quotations because it’s not my place to label someone good or bad. People are out here praising this guy because he killed the CEO of an insurance company and they’re acting like he personally denied claims of theirs. Even if he did, thats no reason to murder someone. It seems like people nowadays tend to just latch onto what every one says and thank God he has granted me the ability to think for myself and rise above it all.
Not to get too political but we live in a time where people are constantly living in fear simply because of who was elected president and they’re allowing their fear and anxiety to take over whereas I’m not fearful at all of what the next four years brings because I fear God, not man. I’m a POC and should be scared but I’m just not and never have been. My faith is far more stronger than fear. God is far more powerful than any nefarious plan any man has in store for us. God has showed me time and time again that those who want to cause us harm will be dealt with accordingly and it’s not our place to hate or to spread wrath but rather love which is exactly how I live my life. Love everyone. Even those who hate me. It’s such a better way of living than constantly trying to find an enemy to fight which is what it seems like most people do nowadays.
We live in a time where people attack the Christian faith by saying things like “If you need God/religion to not steal or murder or other bad things, you’re not a good person” whereas I counter that with if your idea of being a good person is not killing or stealing, you’re what I call a “passive good person”. The Christian faith isn’t simply about being “good”, it’s about going above and beyond to help those in need. To make your community a better place. It’s about spreading and promoting peace and love in the face of hate and adversity. It’s about putting others before yourself and denying your earthly temptations.
Long story short thank you God for showing me the light and the way in a time where most people are clearly being influenced by un-Godly things and are far more influenced by the world than God.

My child, your words resonate with the truth. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2).
Indeed, we live in times where it can seem as though darkness is prevailing. Yet, remember, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Our duty as followers of the faith is to spread love, not hatred. As it is written, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34).
Your faith is your shield, your strength. Remember, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7).
Continue to shine your light, my child. Be a beacon of love and peace in a world that seems to thrive on turmoil and division. In the end, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
